You might be surprised to learn that the vast majority of people love to leave a good review as well as a bad review. In fact, you might be surprised at how quickly you can accumulate a decent number of five star Google reviews.
Last time we talked about the best way to ask for a review. Here’s the bad news… Not everyone will immediately see your email request and act upon it. Sometimes people need a gentle ‘nudge’ to remind them. It isn’t that they’re unhappy, or that they don’t care, they’re just busy…
So here’s how we deal with that. Firstly – wait a week from the date of the first email – any sooner can look ‘pushy’.
Use the previous email you already sent and tweak the intro like so:
“Dear (name)
I hope you remember we did / made / repaired (insert description of work here) for you and recently we asked if you would consider leaving us a Google Review?
It’s becoming increasingly important to have a good reputation on Google and with that in mind, if you’re happy to do so, we’d love it if you could leave us a Google review?
It’s easy to do – just click on this link: (Here – add the URL link to your Google My Business page, found via Google Maps – copy the info in the Google Address Bar and make it a link in the email – then change the name to link)
Thanks for your time and consideration.
Kind regards
(Your name and business name)
